P2 I was hoping to be inspired during that vacation, photographically that is. Much as I needed the rest, I ventured out.. though not far as I'd like to. Trying to come up with something I've never done before. Endeavour different approaches perhaps. Such was the objective that day. Though that was not quite attained, I'm pretty happy with these results. Hope you like them too ;-) A complimentray basket of assored fruits. Lovely, although I thought the hotel could have it decorated a bit more.. hehe :). But hey, I'm not complaining :) Laid on the wooden floor with light from the balcony. I thought it was illuminated rather well :). An opportunity that presented itself totally by coincidence. As I was driving through a local university, I saw these guys practising. Intrigued, I then parked my car, proceeded to the courrt and asked if I can take a few photos. I was half expecting a flat 'no' [apparently they were practising for an inter-state tournament] which I totally would have understood. But when I heard a very inviting 'yes'... needless to say I was excited :). Perhaps find new insects to shoot or compose them differently or use lights in the best possible way or preferable shoot when the insects are in action. That last bit is hard but it's nice to have such challenge :). And here are my latest efforts though not all of the above attempts were succesful :) I thought it was insane to try to capture this. And it was.. hehe... :) This is the only one I got that's worth posting. It's called 'Gum bichromate' effect, a 19th century photographic printing process based on the light sensitivity of dichromates.
