for everyone
I was hoping to capture some galloping actions and perhaps a few grazing-on-a-green-field shots too. Alas, it was their lunch time when I got there... hehe.. :)
Oh well, perhaps next time..

Hehe... :). It was my mistake... I got up from bed late that morning. It's was one of those mornings you know, when I kept telling myself, 'Ok, 10 minutes, I'll get up in 10 minutes time, I NEED 10 more minutes...' Like that'll make any difference... haha... :)
Thanks Carlos :) These are like portraitures I guess.. of horses.. haha... :D

Hmmm.. I'm not entirely sure if these are high breed horses. Didn't get to ask the caretakers cause they seemed busy and I didn't want to disturb. I guess I should have at least tried asking for a bit of info :)
Dubai horses? If you are referring to the thoroughbred then they are most definitely extremely precious :)

Hmmm... actually the horses themselves are not creepy. They may seemed creepy to you due to my editings of course. Having said that, it is interesting to note that such a comment came from you.. hehe.. :)
Cheers Carlos :)

Thanks dear :). But you know right, that if one uses a wide angle lens one has to be much closer to the subjects compared to using a normal lens. At first I was a bit sceptical about being that close to the horses, for safety reasons [my 1st. rule of photography: SAFETY FIRST :) ]. Turned out they are gentle creatures, those that I photographed anyway because I think they are used to deal with strangers. However there are about 3 others horses that I dare not even come close as apparently they are tied in their stable and seemed a bit restless when I approached. Not tamed yet I guess :)

Waa... terima kasih [thank you] for appreciating this image :). I did that texturing because I thought it is suitable for such an image. Kinda like make it look like a painting :)

Hehe.. yes his name is Andew :)
I guess he was surprised, but not like I sneaked up on him or anything like that.. hehe.. :). I guess he was way too engrossed enjoying his grubs that he did not realised that a crazy phtoographer was nearing.. haha.. :). Good thing he did not choke.. hehe... :). Which got me to wonder, how does one performs the Heimlich Maneuver on a choking horse? Hmmm.... :)

Yes I most definitely agree that it is a beautiful horse. I don't get to see horses this close often so seeing one like him made me gawk, well.. something like that... hehe.. :) Would have been better if I could see him galloping around :)

Thanks :). Hence me getting way too close to capture this shot, to get all the details.. hehe.. :). Hobo actually withdrew a bit into his stable when I got too close. I felt bad cause I had interrupted him having lunch. But he was ok after that :)

Thanks Ed :)
How do I get colours like that?
It's a two part thing for me:
1) I set my camera to maximum saturations
2) I edit in PS as and when necessary by increasing the saturation and adjusting further using the 'Selective colours' function
